You have no idea how excited I was to learn yesterday that the Goshen Parks and Rec department is hosting a day for dogs to swim at Shanklin Pool! It’s like a dream come true after I’ve often heard of my California dock jumping friends being able to take their dogs to the pool after hours to train and/or play. Being an avid swimmer myself, my dog Bailey being a water and dock jumping nut, and the fact that the pool is less than a mile from my home has gotten me completely looking forward to August 16th. I have no doubt that both Bailey and I will be splashing around for the full three hours and loving every minute.

The event will take place from 12 pm-3pm on that Saturday. Pre-registration at the Parks and Rec department is required and cost is only $1.00 per dog and $1.00 per human.  There will be concessions, games, contests, prizes and fun!
